VBS day 2

Reflections on VBS We praise the Lord that 5 more children gave their life to Jesus on Saturday. After Mary's story about how Jesus calmed the storm, Guilherme, one of the boys, voluntarily gave his testimony about his personal life storm. When he was younger, he fell down the stairs which resulted in a head injury. The doctor told his mother that he would never speak again. She fasted and prayed; the next morning he opened his eyes and asked for chocolate milk. He exhorted the other children to trust Jesus for the storms that would come in their own lives.

The Charneca church is near the beach, so at the end of the day we drove to see the setting sun over the eastern shore of the Atlantic Ocean. The love of God is like that ocean touching every boundary of our lives.

Steven arrived today at 7:40 a.m. and by 8:15 he realized that his luggage did not arrive with him. It's hard to believe he's the child of missionaries because all he had in his carry on was his Bible, a notebook and a hoodie. He went to VBS with us, but spent the day napping in the "upper room." He joined us again in body and spirit at dinner time. At midnight, we picked up the 9th member of the team, Gerrilee Lacy. She had traveled from Beijing, through Moscow, a 23 hour journey. Needless to say, we all fell into our beds anticipating sweet sleep.

I am going to attach a link to Cindi Angelos Facebook photos. She is a creative photographer!
