We have arrived

Seven members taking off from Spring Arbor on Wednesday.  Steven flew from Akron and arrvied Saturday morning; Gerrilee arrived from China via Moscow on Saturday night.

What a great sendoff we had at the Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church on Wednesday, July 18. Some of our family members and prayer partners gathered with us for a time of prayer and blessing. We are thankful that a radiator leak in the van was discovered before leaving the church, and our capable driver, Debbie Maxwell, was able to drive us in the church bus which was already gassed up and ready to go.

After 12 hours of travel, we were greeted by Cindi and Eduardo Angelo at the Lisbon airport. We praise the Lord that all our travel went well and all bags arrived! As we travelled to our rented house we were awestruck by the beautiful city of Lisbon. One of our surprises was to see palm trees growing along the way. Did you know that palm tree grew in Western Europe?


For dinner, the local ministry team prepared wonderful Portuguese lasagna with white sauce, ground beef, ham, and mozzarella cheese,  and we ended our long day with a VBS planning meeting because tomorrow it begins.
